Jacqui Felgate is one of Australia’s most recognisable media personalities, with almost 20 years’ experience across print, radio and broadcast journalism. A multi–award-winning journalist, she made history as the first woman to host the Brownlow Medal count and has built a distinguished career spanning two decades.

Jacqui began her career at Melbourne’s Herald Sun before moving into television with Nine News and later Seven News, where she anchored the Afternoon News. As a newsreader and political reporter, she covered some of the nation’s most significant events, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the Black Saturday bushfires and multiple state and federal elections, before transitioning into sport.

Her sport presenting credits include AFL match-day and Grand Final coverage, Wimbledon, and the Beijing Olympic Games. Known for her professionalism, warmth and on-air presence, Jacqui is also a highly sought-after MC, working with leading organisations such as NAB, the AFL, L’Oréal, Australia Post, BMW, the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Racing Victoria, the Victoria Racing Club, City of Melbourne, UN Women, Melbourne Fashion Week, St Kilda Mums and the Melbourne Press Club.

A mother of two daughters, Jacqui is married to sports broadcaster Michael Felgate. Outside of her media work, she enjoys marathon running, spending time with her family and riding her retired racehorse, Red.
