Georgia Barnes is passionate about inspiring everyday people to cook from scratch and appreciate the beauty of real, fresh food. A former MasterChef Australia contestant, Georgia’s warm and engaging personality has made her a household favourite and a sought-after host for corporate and community events.

Growing up in Brisbane’s bayside suburbs, Georgia spent countless hours in the kitchen with her grandmother, nurturing her love for cooking alongside fishing, gardening, and exploring the origins of food. This early fascination led her to earn a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutrition and build a career in health and wellness, combining nutrition expertise with sales and marketing. It was during this time that Georgia began writing recipes and running workshops to help others create and enjoy wholesome food.

Since her television debut, Georgia has become a trusted food contributor for Taste.com.au and runs monthly workshops at The Kitchens at Robina on the Gold Coast. She regularly hosts interactive cooking classes and demonstrations, teaching people of all ages how to create contemporary dishes with confidence—emphasising quality ingredients, plating, and presentation.

In 2018, Georgia expanded her creative skillset to food styling and photography, collaborating with leading producers, artisans, and restaurateurs to produce captivating digital imagery. She has worked with top brands including IKEA, Cadbury, Coles, NAB, Westfield, Angostura House of Bitters, Queen Vanilla, and Endeavour College of Natural Health, and has presented at some of Australia’s premier foodie events. Television viewers may also have seen her on The Morning Show, Studio 10, Ben’s Menu, Toasted TV, or as a guest co-host on Couch Time.

Since 2016, Georgia has proudly served as an ambassador for Australia Day Queensland.
