From Olympic podiums to boardrooms and boathouses, Drew Ginn OAM brings a no-nonsense, high-performance edge to every environment he steps into. As General Manager of Marshall White’s Bayside group, he fuses elite sporting standards with modern leadership thinking to build teams that own their performance, stay accountable, and deliver under pressure. His coaching and facilitation style is hands-on, energetic and grounded in the emotional, mental and physical aspects of sustainable excellence.
Drew’s sporting career is one of Australia’s great endurance stories — three Olympic gold medals, one Olympic silver, five world titles and the Thomas Keller Medal. Sixteen years at the top shaped his philosophy on resilience, trust, and what it takes to go all-in as a team. The widely reported theft of his Olympic medals in 2024 highlighted both the impact of his legacy and the deep public connection to his achievements.
During last 3 years, Drew has also supported Oxford University Boat Club as a Performance Advisor for the World Famous ‘Boat Race’, helping shape athlete development, training frameworks and crew cohesion across both the women and men programs.
Beyond elite sport and corporate leadership, Drew is deeply involved in community impact. He’s a founding leader behind Cobbled Nights for Cancer, a Melbourne fundraising event supporting Tour de Cure, blending storytelling, cycling culture, art and philanthropy to raise funds for cancer research, support and education. Cobbled Nights has raised over $630,000 in 5 years.
Drew is also the Host and Creator of Mercantile Radio, a podcast for Mercantile Rowing Club celebrating the people, history and future of one of Australia’s most influential rowing communities.
