Dr Lisa Chimes

Co-presenter of Bondi Vet
Dr Lisa Chimes is one of the charismatic vets on Channel Ten’s prime-time series Bondi Vet which is set against the backdrop of Australia’s famous Bondi Beach. The series has given Lisa the opportunity to combine her lifelong love of animals with her passion for television.
Lisa wanted to be a vet from an early age. She believes that pets are a privilege and they provide us with unconditional love and companionship.
After graduating from Sydney University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science with first class honours, Lisa completed her internship in veterinary emergency and critical care in Melbourne.
It was during these years that Lisa discovered her passion for providing specialist and compassionate care for dogs and cats (all breeds and sizes!) In 2008, Lisa moved back to her home suburb of Bondi to work at SASH – the small animal specialist hospital – situated in North Ryde, Sydney, where she is an emergency and critical-care vet.
Working with a team of highly experienced, motivated and compassionate vets, Lisa gets to treat and care for a wide variety of cats and dogs including everything from Great Danes to Siamese cats to Chihuahuas.
In 2010, Lisa obtained post-graduate qualifications by becoming a member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Medicine.
Lisa is an ambassador for Purina, The Animal Welfare League, Atopic Dermatitis Awareness for Dogs and for Vets Beyond Borders’ Cats, Canines & Cupid campaign.
She has made appearances on Ten’s Ready Steady Cook, The Project, The Circle, Breakfast, Ten News and Nine’s Mornings. She writes Pet Chat with Lisa in Girl Power Magazine and has been a guest speaker on Pet Talk radio.
Given her high profile, her calling and her obvious love of animals, Lisa Chimes is frequently in demand as a guest, presenter or MC at anything pet related.
