Dr Darren Burgess

Darren Burgess is one of the world’s leading high-performance specialists and currently serves as High Performance Manager at the Adelaide Football Club.

Before joining the Crows in 2022, “Burgo” was a driving force behind Melbourne’s 2021 Premiership success in the same role, and he has also completed two highly regarded stints at Port Adelaide.

His expertise extends well beyond Australian rules football, having held senior high-performance positions with English football giants Arsenal and Liverpool, as well as working with the Australian National Men’s Football Team during their 2010 FIFA World Cup campaign in South Africa.

Holding a PhD in Sport Science and Technology, Darren combines elite sporting insight with proven leadership strategies. An exceptional public speaker, he inspires corporate and sporting audiences alike with powerful presentations on high performance, leadership, and achieving sporting excellence.
