Dr Andrew Rochford is one of Australia’s most recognisable media personalities and trusted medical experts. His television career spans The Block, The Project, Channel Seven News (as National Health Editor), and co-hosting Channel 10’s primetime quiz show Pointless.
A leading voice on preventative health, digital health innovation, men’s health and mental wellbeing, Andrew is a sought-after keynote speaker and event host known for making complex medical issues accessible, engaging and relevant.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (Hons) and a Bachelor of Medical Science (Anatomy & Neuroscience) from the University of Sydney. He has published research in Neurosurgery through the Cerebrovascular Centre at Royal North Shore Hospital, with clinical interests spanning paediatrics, intensive care and neurosurgery.
He first came to public attention after winning The Block in 2004, which led to multiple medical television roles, including Waiting Room and What’s Good For You, where he became the show’s “human guinea pig” in the name of public health education.
Andrew has written for Woman’s Day and Australian Men’s Fitness and regularly appeared on Mornings with Kerri-Anne discussing health and lifestyle topics.
A husband and father of three, Andrew is passionate about family, fitness and promoting healthier communities. He has served as an ambassador for leading causes including the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and DrinkWise.
