David Gallop AM

Leading Australian Sports Administrator

One of Australia’s most respected and recognisable sports administrators, with an extensive career spanning top executive roles and board directorships across the sporting and corporate sectors.

David Gallop currently serves as a director of Tabcorp Holdings Ltd, where he is Chairman of the People and Remuneration Committee, and a member of the Risk, Compliance and Sustainability Committee and the Nomination Committee. David is also Chairman of Venues NSW, Step One Clothing Limited (ASX-listed), Alacria Pty Ltd (a leading sports advisory firm), and Hairmop Pty Ltd, which trades as MOSH (an online health services platform). Additionally, he is a Board Member of Cricket NSW.

David previously held two of the most significant executive roles in Australian sport, CEO and General Secretary of Football Federation Australia (2012–2019) and CEO of the National Rugby League (2002–2012).

His earlier legal career included senior roles with the National Rugby League, News Corporation, and Holman Webb Lawyers.

He has also served on multiple prominent sporting bodies, including Australian Sports Commission (Acting Chairman during the 2012 London Olympics), Rugby League International Federation and the AFC Asian Cup 2015 Local Organising Committee.

David holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts, is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and has a strong sporting background as a former first-grade cricketer with UNSW and an enthusiastic golfer, holding memberships at New South Wales Golf Club and Bonnie Doon Golf Club in Sydney.
