David Campbell is one of Australia’s most versatile and celebrated entertainers, with a career spanning television, radio, theatre, cabaret, and concert performances. A multi-platinum recording artist, David was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2019 for his service to entertainment and the arts.

A household name on television, David hosts Today Extra and the iconic Carols by Candlelight alongside Sonia Kruger, as well as Weekend Today with Allison Langdon, and has fronted the relaunch of Wonderful World of Disney for Nine. On radio, he presents a top-rating national weekend afternoon show on Smooth FM and is a regular columnist for Stellar magazine. His albums, including Baby It’s Christmas and Back in the Swing, have enjoyed instant chart success, complementing his extensive recording career with multiple multi-platinum releases.

On stage, David is a leading musical theatre star, acclaimed for roles such as Bobby Darin in the world premiere of Dream Lover – The Bobby Darin Musical, earning a Helpmann Award for Best Actor, and his award-winning performance in Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins revival. Internationally, David captivated New York with his cabaret show, becoming the youngest artist to headline the iconic Rainbow & Stars venue, earning praise from Time Out New York for creating “the biggest buzz since Barbra Streisand.” He has performed in Broadway productions including Babes in Arms, South Pacific, and Stephen Sondheim’s Saturday Night.

David’s musical achievements also include numerous platinum-selling albums such as The Swing Sessions (2006), Good Lovin’ (2008), and On Broadway (2010), as well as five sell-out national concert tours, earning him multiple Helpmann Awards. His live concert DVD Good Lovin’ Live reached #1 on the ARIA charts, and his 2014 album David Campbell Sings John Bucchino topped the Australian Jazz Charts.

Beyond performance, David has made a lasting mark as Artistic Director of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival (2009–2011), co-founder of Luckiest Productions, and a founding member of Independent Music Theatre, the producing body behind the Hayes Theatre Co., renowned for high-quality musical and cabaret productions. Internationally, he has hosted and performed at G’Day LA and G’Day NY events, bringing Australian entertainment to the world stage.

David is also a highly sought-after MC for corporate and special events, combining his stage presence, charisma, and professionalism to engage and entertain audiences across Australia.
