Quick Contact
Danny Green is the only Australian boxer to win four professional world titles across three weight divisions. Known as ‘The Green Machine’, his calm, affable demeanour outside the ring contrasts with his fierce, aggressive instincts inside, where his devastating power and tactical brilliance have earned him international recognition.
Danny represented Australia at the 1998 Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games and the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, defeating his first-round opponent before narrowly losing to the eventual gold medallist from Russia. A surfer from Perth’s Scarborough Beach, Danny left school to pursue carpentry while chasing his boyhood dream of becoming a world champion, ultimately developing into a fighter of substance and earning a professional record of 36 wins (28 KOs) and 5 losses.
Throughout his career, Danny engaged in some of Australia’s most iconic sporting rivalries, including his memorable showdown with Anthony Mundine in 2017. Beyond the ring, he is admired for his philanthropy, approachability, and dedication to mentoring people of all ages, proving that ‘his heart is as big as his punch’.
Danny founded Green Machine Promotions in 2002, building one of Australia’s most respected boxing promotional companies. He has promoted three of the highest-grossing, most-watched pay-per-view boxing events in Australian history, cementing his legacy both as a fighter and a promoter.
In recent years, Danny has devoted himself to the Cowards Punch Campaign, a self-funded initiative addressing one-punch attacks. Through tireless advocacy, he has influenced media, courts, and public perception, replacing glorifying language with terminology that highlights the severity of such acts. His efforts in this field have arguably created a legacy that will surpass even his sporting achievements.
A regular on television for over 15 years, Danny has appeared as a guest host and contributor on Sunrise, The Project, and countless sports programs, demonstrating his ability to connect with audiences beyond boxing. Danny’s story is one of triumph, resilience, and determination—inside the ring and in life—making him a compelling and inspirational speaker for sporting, corporate, and community events.
