Since becoming a Deadly Funny national finalist in 2015, Wagga-based comedian Dane Simpson has been on a rapid rise, performing sold-out festival shows, corporate gigs and national tours—both solo and with the smash-hit comedy collective Aborigi-LOL.
Dane has lit up screens on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala, the Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow, Have You Been Paying Attention?, Get Krackin, and the feature film rom-com The Merger.
Offstage, he’s a powerhouse behind the scenes—producing the monthly Riverina Comedy Club and helping shape the Wagga Comedy Festival each year. And during lockdown, Dane became the cult hero behind Servo Bingo, the wonderfully chaotic online show inspired by the characters dropping into the servo across from Wagga’s Thirsty Crow brewery.
