Daisy Pearce is widely recognised as the face of women’s Australian Rules football and one of the game’s first superstars. A pioneer of the AFL Women’s League (AFLW), Daisy has been at the forefront of the women’s game since its national launch in 2016, helping to shape its growth and profile.

Hailing from country Victoria, Daisy captained the Melbourne Football Club from the AFLW’s inaugural season and in the women’s exhibition matches prior to the league. She also captained Victoria in the inaugural AFL Women’s State of Origin match in 2017, where she was judged best afield. Over her career, Daisy has earned back-to-back Club Best & Fairest awards, multiple All-Australian selections, and remains one of the competition’s premier stars.

Off the field, Daisy is a trailblazer in governance and media. She became the first woman elected to the AFL Players’ Association board, is an experienced media analyst for the Seven Network and SEN radio and has served as a mentor to first-year players at Melbourne Football Club. Daisy is also a practising midwife, demonstrating her commitment to community and care beyond the sporting arena.

Known for her humility, leadership, and dedication, Daisy has inspired a generation of athletes and fans. She continues to contribute to the sport’s growth while balancing her professional and personal life, including cherishing time with her young twins, Sylvie and Roy.
