Chandler Comerford

Chandler Comerford is a leadership consultant, coach and professional speaker with over 25 years of experience in leadership, resilience, consulting and workshop facilitation. As a former US Special Forces Officer (US Navy SEAL) Chandler has deep knowledge of what is required to develop ‘high-performing’ individuals and teams.

Chandler has worked extensively with personnel from different cultures, socio economic and educational backgrounds from the ‘coal face’ of industrial operations through to directors of private and publicly listed companies.

Chandler is currently delivering Human and Organizational Principles (HOP) leadership workshops to oil and gas clients in Brazil, China, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

Chandler was educated at the world’s pre-eminent leadership institution – The United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. As a former US Special Forces Officer (US Navy SEAL) Chandler has deep knowledge of what is required to develop ‘high-performing / elite teams’.  A member of the Special Operations Command Joint Combined Exercise Training Team (JCET), Chandler worked as a foreign military advisor training Special Forces groups throughout Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Chandler left the military to apply his skill in the management of inherently dangerous operations in the offshore oil and gas environment where he worked as a safety and risk engineer.
Identifying a need, Chandler developed a framework for measuring the hacking risks to critical infrastructure IT networks. He received a grant from the government to commercialise this intellectual property, developed a software platform and built a critical infrastructure consulting practice which is still in use.

Chandler has worked extensively with personnel from different cultures, socio economic and educational backgrounds from the ‘coal face’ of industrial operations through to directors of private and publicly listed companies. With robust exposure across government and nongovernment organisations, Chandler has provided coaching and training on a range of topics to include: leadership, culture, safety, crisis management, risk management, corporate governance and business continuity.

As a professional speaker, Chandler is regularly asked to speak on the subjects of personal leadership and resilience delivering keynotes to: Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton; National Australia Bank, Westrac, CEO Institute, CPA Australia, Professionals Real Estate, Southern Cross Austereo amongst numerous other business and educational institutions.
