Brooke Boney

Brooke Boney is an accomplished journalist, media presenter, author, and advocate, best known as the former News and Entertainment Presenter on TODAY (Nine Network, 2019–2024). With a strong background in political journalism, Brooke’s career spans National Indigenous Television (NITV), SBS, ABC, and Triple J, where she was a fan-favourite newsreader. She has covered major national and international events, including the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and the 2020 awards season in Los Angeles, and has interviewed some of the world’s biggest entertainment figures.

A proud Gamilaroi woman from Muswellbrook in NSW’s Hunter Region, Brooke began her media journey volunteering at her local community radio station while still in high school. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Journalism) from the University of Technology Sydney and started her professional career in the Canberra press gallery, covering major political events including the 2013 federal leadership spill and election campaign.

In 2024, Brooke left the Nine Network to pursue a Master of Public Policy at Oxford University. She is also a published author; her first book, All of It (2025), is a witty and heartfelt collection of reflections on love, loss, and ambition. Brooke is a columnist for Sunday Life, co-hosts The Dream Club podcast, and regularly presents at major events including the ARIA Awards.

Beyond journalism, Brooke is a passionate advocate for Indigenous youth and arts, serving as a board member of the Sydney Theatre Company and an Ambassador for the GO Foundation. Her work bridges media, culture, and advocacy, inspiring audiences with authenticity, insight, and a commitment to representation.
