Brad Hogg is a former Australian cricketer and one of the most accomplished left-arm wrist spinners (chinamen) in the game’s history. Born in Narrogin and raised on a farm near Williams, Western Australia, Brad made his first-class debut for Western Australia in 1994 and went on to represent Australia in 123 One Day Internationals and 7 Tests, including victorious campaigns in the 2003 and 2007 ICC Cricket World Cups. He is the seventh most successful ODI bowler for Australia and was consistently among the world’s top spin bowlers during his career.
Known for his flair, enthusiasm, and infectious energy on the field, Brad earned a reputation as a cult favourite, particularly during his Big Bash League tenure with the Perth Scorchers, where he helped the team secure three consecutive BBL titles. His career is highlighted by moments such as bowling Andrew Flower with a flipper in the 2003 World Cup and dismissing Andrew Flintoff with consecutive ‘wrong’uns in 2007.
