Barry Eaton is a highly respected broadcaster, author and media professional with a career spanning decades across radio, television, live events and corporate communication. He has worked extensively with the ABC, 2GB and major commercial networks, anchoring news and sport, presenting lifestyle and current affairs programs, and hosting talkback radio.
A natural communicator on stage and on screen, Barry is an accomplished MC and speaker who has led events ranging from international conferences to major sporting and corporate functions. His career highlights include serving as Master of Ceremonies for the official NSW State Luncheon honouring the Australian Ashes team, the Bicentenary Ball for the NSW Cricket Association, and live compere roles for large-scale Military Tattoos at venues such as Acer Arena in Sydney.
Barry is also the creator and host of the long-running global internet radio program RadioOutThere.com, now in its 16th year. His lifelong passion for storytelling extends to acting, documentary narration and feature writing, as well as three internationally acclaimed books — Afterlife, No Goodbyes and The Joy of Living — all of which have received worldwide recognition.
As former Head of Journalism at Macleay College, Barry taught radio journalism and production, and has run his own media consultancy specialising in video and audio production, event marketing, publicity and presentation skills. He continues to work as a corporate media trainer and as a sought-after voice-over artist, including narrations for wildlife documentaries and the Australian War Memorial’s Korea and Vietnam galleries.
