Andrew Gaze is widely regarded as Australia’s greatest-ever basketballer and one of the country’s most iconic sporting figures. A five-time Olympian and captain of both the Australian basketball team and the Australian Olympic team at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, Andrew’s achievements on the court are unparalleled. He holds a record ten National Basketball League (NBL) scoring titles and has been awarded the NBL’s Most Valuable Player Award seven times.
With an impressive career spanning multiple continents, Andrew was the first NBL player to score over 1,000 points in a season, and one of the 50 greatest players of all time, as named by FIBA. He also became the first Australian to play in the NBA, winning a championship with the San Antonio Spurs in 1999.
