The World's First to Successfully Kayak the Tasman
James Castrission and Justin Jones created a world first by successfully navigating the Tasman Sea in a kayak. Their epic journey, which took a total of 62 days and at one point had them paddling in circles for a week, is incredibly inspirational.

James Castrission and Justin Jones reached the sand at New Plymouth on NZ's North Island on January 13, 2008 - 62 days after they had set off from Forster on the mid-New South Wales coast. They were sun-burnt, bearded, underweight, physically and mentally wasted ... but most of all, happy to be alive.

About James Castrission & Justin Jones:
James gained a Bachelor of Commerce then worked as a consultant and analyst for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu before deciding to focus his life on mountaineering, rock climbing, bushwalking and kayaking. He has climbed some of the most challenging peaks in Australia and New Zealand.
Justin is studying for his Masters of Commerce at the University of New South Wales having completed an advanced science degree with honours in physiology. Like James, he thrives on extreme exploits.
