Justin Marshall

With a professional rugby career spanning 16 years and 417 first class games, Justin Marshall is one of New Zealand rugby’s most accomplished sportsmen.

Justin Marshall represented the mighty All Blacks for ten years (81 caps), thriving on the challenge of the competitive arena. He is New Zealand’s most capped Test Half Back, scoring 24 test tries, ranking him in the top ten of all-time New Zealand try scorers.

Justin’s strong-willed combative nature combined with his physical strength was often referred to as being like a ‘fourth loose forward’.

Justin retired from the International game after the victorious 2005 Lions series then lived in Europe for 5 years playing for Saracens, Montpellier, Ospreys and Leeds. He ended his playing career in 2010 with his last game being the Guinness Premiership Final.

While working in the UK Justin turned his attention to television commentary regularly featuring for Sky, BBC, and on various rugby programs such as Scrum V and A Question of Sport.

Now an accomplished speaker, Justin’s involvement in rugby in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres makes for informative and entertaining listening.

Justin returned to New Zealand in July 2010 and currently works for Sky Sport New Zealand as a Rugby Commentator/Presenter.

Justin Marshall was awarded a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to Rugby in 2005.
