Sam Longley

Entertaining MC, actor and comedian

Actor, comedian, writer and director Sam Longley has performed on stage, on television and in feature films since the mid nineties so he’s certainly no stranger to live audiences. He has also been steadily building fans in the corporate world as an MC.

Sam believes that a lighthearted approach can make a night of speeches and awards a bit more fun. At the same time, he makes sure that the event he’s working on runs smoothly and to time. Sometimes the unexpected happens and at that point Sam’s improv comedy skills take over and he’s able to get the event back on track with a joke and a smile.

Sam Longley has hosted events for Save The Children Australia, The Fremantle Chamber Of Commerce Business Awards, the Fiona Wood Foundation, Curtin University and the City Of Joondalup, amongst others.

Sam has performed everything from a Shakespearian drunkard to an eight-year-old delinquent. Some of his highlights include Horse Head at the Blue Room Theatre, DIY: Disaster Movie at The Awesome Arts Festival, Thisbe at the new Heath Ledger Theatre, Not Like Beckett for Deck Chair Theatre, Bindjareb Pinjarra, a comedy about a massacre and the feature film Where The Wild Things Are with Spike Jonze. Sam has written plays, hosted TV shows and is the creator of the improv comedy show, The Big Hoo-Haa, that recently celebrated its eleventh sellout season.

Sam Longley’s comic talents, quick wit and improv skills definitely come in handy in his role as an MC. Sam is also busy working as a presenter with Destination WA on Channel 9 as well as touring The Adventures Of Alvin Sputnik: Deep Sea Explorer.
