Uniquely Entertaining TV Personailty & Compere
As a master of ceremonies, facilitator, compere and presenter, Andrew O’Keefe has earned a reputation for his sharp wit and unique presentation style.
Currently the host of Channel 7’s Deal or No Deal, Andrew presents on Channel 7’s popular Sunrise programme, and live prime time specials such as 7’s Ultimate Transformations.
An accomplished compere, Andrew has hosted charity events on behalf of numerous organisations including: Cure Cancer Australia, the Sydney Children’s’ Hospital, the Garvan Institute, the Ian Tucker Sports Injuries Foundation, Father Riley’s Youth Off The Street, and marie claire magazine’s Business Chicks for Kids’ Help Line. He has hosted, entertained and participated in comedy debates at corporate events for companies including Eurest Australia, Macquarie Bank, Toshiba, Thredbo Alpine Village and The Bell Shakespeare Company.
Recognised as one of Australia’s best comedy improvisers, in 2001 Andrew was a member of the Australian team that won the World Impro Championships at the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. His talent as a comedian, writer and performer has been showcased on the popular Channel 7 sketch comedy series Big Bite, with his close-to-the-bone impersonations of figures such as Russell Crowe, Eddie McGuire and Mel Gibson.
An entertaining speaker, Andrew was a member of the Australian Schools Debating Team where he was named Best Speaker at the World Schools’ Debating Championships in Canada in 1990. He has a Diploma in classical singing and, prior to entering show business practiced as a solicitor for four years with Allens Arthur Robinson, and worked with PIAC (the Public Interest Advocacy Centre). Andrew is also the Chairman of the White Ribbon Foundation (Australia), a campaign aimed at men for the elimination of violence against women.
Andrew O’Keefe is passionate about art, music, social justice and politics. As a popular media personality, he has received significant media coverage including feature articles in many of Australia’s leading newspapers and magazines.
