Joe Talcott was appointed Group Marketing Director at News Limited in April 2005. He is responsible for building the brands and growing the customer base of the multiple media properties under the News Limited umbrella. In a fast-changing media environment he has made brand building a priority with more emphasis on building brand loyalty.

Joe Talcott was appointed Group Marketing Director at News in 2005 after a long career as Marketing Director at McDonald’s, working in the USA, Latin America, Asia and Australia.

Joe has worked for marketers, agencies and media companies in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Prior to his tenure at McDonald’s, Joe worked as General Manager of Fahlgren Advertising in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Senior Vice President of Carmichael Lynch Advertising in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Among his many career achievements, Mr Talcott was named one of BRW magazine’s Marketers of the Year.

Joe Talcott is Chairman of the Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA) and serves on the board of The Newspaper Works as well as the Pacific Area Newspaper Publishers Association (PANPA). In addition, Joe serves as a Media & Marketing Advisor on the Global Poverty Project.
