Multinational Marketing Director
Joe Talcott is one of the most experienced - and respected - marketers in Australia. His marketing experience stretches over three decades including seven years at News Limited where he held the position of Group Marketing Director and 17 with McDonald's in markets across the world. More recently, Joe joined Michael Hill Jewellery, as Global Chief Marketing Officer.
Joe began his career as a copywriter working for advertising agencies in the USA. He joined McDonald's in 1982 as a marketing manager, thereafter holding several positions, including director of marketing in Latin America, Asia/Pacific and Australia. In 2003 he moved to the company's headquarters in Chicago to work as global marketing & creative director on the launch of the "i'm lovin' it" campaign. Joe Talcott has worked for marketers, agencies and media companies in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
As Group Marketing Director at News Limited, Joe was responsible for building the brands and growing the customer base of the multiple media properties under the News Limited umbrella. In a fast-changing media environment he has made brand building a priority with more emphasis on building brand loyalty.
Mr. Talcott is past Chairman of the Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA) and past President of the Newspaper Publishers Association (NPA). He was a founding Board member of The Newspaper Works. He currently serves on the Board of R U OK? Day.
He is an engaging and entertaining keynote speaker on creatively thinking and marketing your ideas and services to grow your business.
