Olympian, TV Presenter and Business Success
Hayley Lewis is renowned for her success in sport, business and media.
Instantly recognisable as a former Australian Olympic swimmer, she has hosted Network Ten's The Biggest Loser multiple times, established successful businesses and authored a book that helps women plan and succeed in their own commercial venture.
Hayley Lewis swept to fame in 1990, winning five gold medals at the Auckland Commonwealth Games. Twelve months later, she won the 200m freestyle World Championship in front of an ecstatic Perth crowd. In 1992, Hayley competed at the Barcelona Olympic Games, bringing home two medals - one silver and one bronze.
Over her swimming career she remained one of Australia's most consistent swimmers with success at all levels of competition including the Australian Titles, Pan Pacific Games, Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games and World Championships.
Following her retirement from the pool, Hayley ventured into the world of business, establishing the Hayley Lewis Swim School. The school was developed around a unique concept which provided parents the opportunity to drop their children off to swimming classes while they shopped, a first for Australia, which resulted in over 10 years of successful business.
Motivated by her business success, Hayley embarked on another venture, which enabled her to fulfil a lifelong goal, to write and publish a book. Dream, believe, create, released in 2011 by Harper Collins, acted as the perfect platform for Hayley to voice her experience and knowledge 'guiding women through the initial planning of their business, right through to the finish line'.
In 2010 Hayley purchased a Brisbane-based small business, Coming up Roses, which became known for its hard to find quirky gifts and beautiful home wares. While always on the lookout for her next project, Hayley enjoys a happy balance between work, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and spending quality time with her family.
Hayley Lewis talks about:

- Creating a winning business plan
- Finding finance
- Getting the location right
- Marketing and building your customer base
- Hiring staff
- Staying motivated and maintaining a healthy work/life balance
Hayley did a fantastic job MCing the Myer/Davenport event with Stephanie Rice & Eamon Sullivan. There was a large and varying crowd in attendance, to which her interview questions and the way she interacted on and off the stage and kept proceedings flowing with both athletes was terrific.
Hayley was very informative and kept the audience engaged with her memories about her career. We would recommend her for any future events as a speaker.
Star power (at the Building Healthier Swim Schools Seminar Series) also came in the form of Special Guest interviewees, masterfully handled by MC Hayley Lewis.
