In 2003, in front of thousands of fans at the Sydney Opera House, Guy Sebastian completed his transformation from choir boy to pop sensation, when he was voted the first Australian Idol Winner.

Guy's winning performance was the most watched program on Australian television that year and was also the most watched single non-sporting telecast in Australian broadcasting history.

Five days later, Guy released his first single Angles Brought Me Here which debuted at Number One and became the fastest selling Australian single in ARIA chart history, also reaching Number One in four Asian countries and New Zealand. He was subsequently invited to sing as a guest at American Idol in 2004.

Guy Sebastian's debut album, Just As I Am achieved record breaking sales. The success carried effortlessly into a second album, Beautiful Life which went Double Platinum. It also earned Guy another Number One single 'Out With My Baby', which also scored him a 2005 MTV AVMA for Best Pop Video. He followed this up with a sold-out national tour.

In 2006, Guy won the Fave Aussie gong at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards for the second year in succession. He also partnered Sarah Ryan, the three-time Australian Olympic swimmer on Channel Seven's It Takes Two.

Then, having sold a staggering half a million records, Guy released his third album, Closer To The Sun in 2006. His fourth album, The Memphis Album, sold more than Double Platinum, taking him back to the top of the charts. Guy has had six consecutive Platinum selling albums so far, winning two ARIAs for Highest Selling Album. He's also won numerous MTV, Nickelodeon and Australian Club Industry awards.

In 2007, Guy performed with the Australian Philharmonic Orchestra for three sold-out shows at the Sydney Opera House and Hammer Hall, Melbourne. In 2010 he appeared as a judge on Channel 7's hit show X Factor.

As a songwriter Guy has penned songs for some of the biggest artists in the world including Usher. He also wrote and recorded the official song for the World Youth Day 2008 which he performed on 20 July 2008 before the papal address to a live audience of 500,000 and a television audience of an estimated two billion.

Guy is an ambassador for World Vision and is also available to act as an MC or Host for events.
