About Julia Morris:
Julia Morris honed her skills as resident MC at the Sydney Comedy Store before her big television break in 1995 on the Logie award- winning sketch Full Frontal. Julia quickly became a household name, making many appearances on popular nineties shows including In Melbourne Tonight, Beauty and the Beast, Great Aussie Bloopers and Good Morning Australia. Between 2000 and 2007, 'Lady J-Mo' (as she is affectionately called) lived in the UK where her refreshing honesty captured the imagination of the British comedy's elite and as a result she got to work with and warm up with the likes of Paul Whitehouse, Stephen Fry, Catherine Tate, Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, Graham Norton and the great Dame Edna.
She hosted TV shows for the BBC, appeared in nearly every major international comedy festival from Montreal to South Africa, won the prestigious Herald Angel award at the Edinburgh Festival 2002 and was named Time Out London's 'Comedy Performer of the Year' in 2004. She also wrote and performed three different one woman shows on London's prestigious West End.
Since her return to Australia in 2007 with husband Dan and baby Ruby, Julia hasn't stopped. She has featured on every commercial television channel, on shows including Good News Week, Sunrise and Thank God You're Here - and co-hosted Foxtel's Astra award-winning The Singing Office.
In April 2008 Julia and opera superstar David Hobson not only won Channel 7's hit show It Takes Two, but, with their interpretations of songs like We Don't Need Another Hero, also provided the nation with some of the most memorable TV moments of the year.
Julia's stand-up featured at the galas of both the 2008 Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Sydney's Cracker Comedy Festival. Her stand-up shows were sell-outs in both festivals and also nominated for a Helpmann Award. (Australia's version of the USA Tonys or UK Olivier Theatre Awards.)
Julia's first set of memoirs, Don't You Know Who I Used To Be?, was released to popular acclaim in April 2009 and the same year she won 'Best Australian Act' at the Time Out Sydney comedy awards.
These days, apart from the business of show, Lady J-Mo undertakes various official, ceremonial and representational duties befitting her level of Royal Prerogative. And as the Lady says "Dementis Pro Is."
Client testimonials
Julia Morris managed to achieve what most other entertainers dream of – she had 580 guests entertained and hanging on to every word she said. She was funny, entertaining and the consummate professional. Her self-deprecating humour and anecdotal stories had people in stitches.

I can’t think of a better Aussie comic working today.
Australian Stage
Breathless, glamorous, camp, snobby, self deprecating, gossipy, fast-paced, surprisingly barbed yet subtle with a stream of energy and material that is a lot stronger than her brash-but-catty style might suggest… a delivery so relentless that you beg her to inhale, so rich with potential catchphrases you struggle to take them all in. It holds the audience who can’t afford to lose concentration for a split second for fear of losing something great.

She ticked every box, handled the corporate audience brilliantly and gave me the goods and then some, she simply “got it” from the get go … 5 days later and I’m still getting emails about Julia. She was simply stunning in every way…WOW!

Julia Morris could be a dark horse for next year's Oscaras with her daft handling of hostess duties (as MC of the 2009 Sydney Cracker Comedy Fesitval Gala)

London Evening Standard
Wonderful, hilarious and unmissable - living proof that audacity and irreverent effervescence are life skills.
The Scotsman
..when Julia Morris is in full verbal flow on a stage, it's as though Joan Rivers, Germaine Greer and Betty Boop are all living inside the same body. Phew, she's a scorcher.
The Herald (Scotland)
A jewel in the national crown
The Advertiser
Julia Morris is not really a stand-up comedian. She is a force of nature ... the sheer momentum of the star's personality makes the hour hurtle by far too fast.
