Catherine is also Nutrition Editor for New Idea magazine and a media spokesperson on topics such as healthy eating, healthy weight loss, omega-3, antioxidants, healthy menus, meals and recipes.

In 2005, she was made a Life Member of Nutrition Australia for services to community education.
