Radio host, former sports presenter, MC

Award-winning sports reporter, commentator and presenter Ben Davis travelled the globe covering sporting events for the Seven Network before making the transition to drive time host on 4BC in Brisbane in early 2014. During his show, Ben talks to the community and tackles the important issues in and around Queensland.

Ben's media career began at the Ten Network as a part-time cadet while completing a degree in Communication (Journalism) at the Queensland University of Technology. After finishing his studies in 1995, an opportunity presented itself with 7 News. Since then Ben has reported some of Brisbane, Queensland and Australia's biggest sporting moments over the past two decades.

Before his move to radio, Ben covered Queensland's biggest sporting event - The State of Origin Series - every year since 2000. He also covered the Brisbane Broncos Grand Final Wins, The Cowboys Grand Final appearance, the Brisbane Strikers historic NSL Grand final campaign, John Eales' last Wallaby tour of Europe, the Kangaroos 2000 World Cup triumph in Manchester, Allan Langer's unforgettable State-of-Origin comeback, the 2005 Ashes Tour of England and Brisbane Lions Triple Premierships. These are just some of the many sporting highlights in Ben's career.

Ben presented the sports bulletin for 7 News in Brisbane and was a regular on Weekend Sunrise nationally. He was also a casual radio presenter on Dead Set Legends, a weekend sports show for Southern Cross Austereo in Brisbane.

In 1997 and again in 1999, Ben won Best Television Report in the National Soccer League's national Media Awards for his reports on the Brisbane Strikers.

Not only does Ben Davis know a lot about sport, he is also an accomplished MC and host who is frequently in demand for sporting and corporate events.

Ben has been the main host for the Brisbane Lions Chairman's Circles since 2007, hosted corporate events for the Australian Rugby Union since 2008, for Fosters (C.U.B) since 2007 and for Hyundai Motor Company since 2010, amongst others.

The fact that Ben has had so many return engagements is testament to his skill and popularity as an MC and host.
